Ever since Manirathnam announced a film with Aamir Khan in the lead, there were many who wondered if the film would ever happen because of rumors that the actor loves to interfere in his films. Not many directors would like that kind of intervention.
But they thought Manirathnam might be able to make it work.
'Lajjo' was the name of the film and it was planned a long time ago. The director wanted Kareena to play the heroine role. Things began to go wrong with the film ever since Kareena announced that she was stepping out. Aamir Khan was not happy with the script that the director wrote and the acclaimed director wasn't that keen on letting the actor dictate how he made his films.
Eventually, Aamir Khan went on to get himself busy with the Hindi remake of 'Ghajini'. There are also talks that he intends to make his directorial debut soon.
Now, Bobby Bedi, the man who was supposed to produce 'Lajjo' has made it official that the film is scrapped.
