    'Shivaji' making big enemies...

Director Shankar is in Cannes these days for the screening of his 'Veyil'. But, the members of the Tamil film industry aren't that happy with him.

For quite some time now, Tamil film industry was trying its best to avoid clashing head-on with 'Shivaji' at the box office. The film was supposed to be released this summer and that was one of the reasons why all the films that were lined up for release, made it a point to postpone. That was why there weren't any big new releases in the past few weeks.

But, summer came and in another few days, it will end too. The new academic year will begin and it will be life as usual for the city folks.

A few films did find the nerve to take the risk and they had been very successful at the box office. However, the list of films that didn't want to take the risk is very impressive. This includes the much-delayed 'Bheema'. Just when everybody thought that the 'Shivaji' tension would end on the 31st of May, they were in for another rude shock because the film now stands postponed to the 15th of June.

Shankar will have to return from Cannes and concentrate on the final touches. Some say that the film just might not make its way to the theatres on June 15 either.

Meanwhile, there are many who wonder if waiting for such a long time is really such a good idea because the film's songs had become extremely popular but are now dropping from the charts.
