Last week Asin came down to Chennai for the patch work of Dasavatharam and also for a photo shoot of Vel. The actress could talk nothing, but about Aamir Khan her Hindi Ghajini hero!
Says Asin with a big smile on her face: " Aamir is a perfect gentleman, and a complete professional, it's an honour to work with an artist of such caliber".
Asin herself a perfectionist is dubbing for the film which is being shot in sync sound, a tough act. All the actors should not only perform, but also lip-sync should match the expressions of the character and the scene!
It seems that Aamir was amazed by Asin's dialogue deliver in Mumbai Hindi with the correct diction and presentation. It is a clever and shrewd move by Asin, who has always dubbed in her own voice while doing Tamil and Telugu films.
Asin has also created history by being the only south Indian actress to dub in her own voice in her first film in Hindi Remember that Hema Malini who made her debut in films with Sapnon Ka Saudagar and Sridevi in her first few years in Bollywood had dubbing artists to dub for them.
Asin also says that the shooting is going in full swing and only 15 people including artists and technicians with identity cards are allowed on the sets. No mobiles are allowed and everyone has to be silent and disciplined on sets. Aamir-Asin love track and songs are being picturised now.
Bollywood pundits are predicting big things for Asin, as she is likely to do Rakesh Mehra's (Rang De Basanti director) next film with a big star as her hero.
