A Tamil film is participating in world film festivals. Produced by S Pictures and directed by Vasanthabalan, 'Veyil' was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
"There were 600 people to watch the screening of 'Veyil.' The foreign viewers loved to see bare torso children and their little games, fond parents chiding them for their pranks and so on," says Vasanthabalan.
'Veyil' is all set to charm Chinese audiences at the Shanghai World Film Festival next month. We asked Vasanthabalan about what it is about 'Veyil' that charms foreign viewers.
"The main reason is making a film on the story of a man who is a loser," says Vasanthabalan.
So, losing has its fine points too. The movie on a loser is seeing victory!
