Prithviraj won last year's state award for best actor. This is in spite of the fact that Mammooty had come up with some brilliant performances. Though the actor had congratulated Prithviraj on his success, there were always rumors that he wasn't that happy about not having won the award himself.
Why the immense attachment to awards?
Mammooty says, "I love awards and I also accept the fact that they are very big motivational factors. Why do people dun the races? Some day that they enjoy participating, but most do so because they love the feeling of winning the cup."
