Asin wasn't the first choice to be one of the two heroines of the Hindi version of'Ghajini'. The gorgeous Ayesha Takia was. But she had refused the role in spite of the fact that there were no glamorous scenes or kissing scenes.

Slowly, the reasons behind her refusal are surfacing.
The film's producer and director were interested in casting her. But the hero had made it very clear that he'd have a counseling session with the heroines before the producer finalizes them. Ironically, this was even before he himself had officially signed the contract.
Ayesha Takia went to meet him and it seems that he was busy giving her long lectures about how she's supposed to conduct herself on the sets. Three days had passed and he wasn't even talking about the film's story!
That had so irritated Ayesha that she simply called up the producer and informed him that she isn't interested in the film even if he offers it to her.
Asin doesn't seem to have such problems. Priyanka Chopra is the other heroine.
