It's a straight six from actor-director Venkat Prabhu's willow. Chennai 600028, directed by Venkat Prabhu has completed a 50-day run and is set for a big innings at the box office. This youthful entertainer has won rave reviews and is attracting good crowds in theatres.

Cricket is considered the religion of Indians. They eat, sleep and drink cricket. Chennai 600028 is one such movie which revolves around the passion for this game. He has focused from the roots, capturing the essence of 'gully cricket' which in local parlance is the tennis ball equivalent.

Venkat Prabhu has rightly captured passion, fun, friendship and a good deal of emotion-drenched moments in the movie. With all newcomers, Prabhu has dished out an engrossing tale streets ahead of the mundane contemporary films. Fun, frolic and humor are in abundance, peppered with the commercial ingredients

In a nutshell, the movie was all about the clash of two local teams - Sunambu Kalwaa Sharks and Royapuram Rockers. The former team has a score to settle with after the shattering loss in a tourney two years ago. The intense training begins for the Sharks unfolding on the way the hard facet of reality.

Producers J K Saravana and S P B Charan deserve a pat for supporting such an innovative theme.
