'Rameswaram' that made the refugees cry

"Globally the most popular films and the films that still stay in our memory all had human life as its plot and love in its core.

'Rameswaram' is one such film. It is the story of one Sivananda Raja (Jeeva) and Vasanthi (Bhavna)". So describes director Selvan about 'Rameswaram. Having assisted Bharathi Raja in several films he is the director of this film. S.N. Raja is the producer of the film on behalf of ITA Films.

Is there a total change in Jeeva? "A face that portrays agony and impatience, dry lips and eyes emitting heat. That is Jeeva. Jeeva has lived the life of a refugee youth. His movements and looks command respect. Driven by the love for the grandfather he comes to Rameswaram as a refugee. And the sympathy of Vasanthi who earns her happiness by making other happy, makes him fall in love with her".

"We made one thousand refugees act in the film for ten days. In a scene where people were coming to India, having lost everything, as refugees, the real refugees cried themselves out.

After 'Rameswaram'? "Jeeva would become the most loved person in every Tamil household the world over. No one would have expected that Jeeva would reflect pain, anger, anguish so well in his face".

"Full of bubbling youth and affection, Bhavna has done a wonderful job. Manivannan as the elder refugee, Lal as a traditionally respected person, Bose Venkat as inspector, Shanti, and Sampath as refugees, all have done a remarkably realistic job".

The ship waiting for breaking at Vali Nokkam, the ship building yard of the British times (Golden Rock), Rama's foot, Kodandarama temple, Dhanushkodi, Thavangadu seashore have all lived as characters?in 'Rameswaram'". War scenes are likely to be shot in Cambodia.

Never regret a day in your life. Good days give you happiness; bad days give you experiences; both are essential to life-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
