Actor Srikanth was betrothed to Vandana, the daughter of an Anna Nagar based businessman. When news of criminal case against Vandana's brother for fraud came into the open, Srikanth's parents stopped the marriage plans. But Vandana remained adamant that she would live only with Srikanth.
On 13th, Vandana suddenly landed at Srikanth's house with her parents and announced that she would live there only. Yesterday, Vandana told the press that she and Srikanth had already married in Kakinada and showed photos for proof. This caused a stir. Following this, Srikanth told the press, "It is true Vandana and I had a registered marriage, but I do not wish to live with her any more."
Vandana filed a complaint then at the all women's police station in Vadapalani. She said in her complaint, "Srikanth and I got married. His parents did not attend our wedding. So relatives organized the wedding. After this, Srikanth's parents ostracized me. Please unite me with my husband." She submitted wedding photos and video as proof.
Vayala Bai, the sub inspector of all women's police station in Vadapalani interrogated Vandana. Vandana said this in her statement, "Srikanth is very much in love with me. That's why he married me without telling his parents. Our nuptial night took place in a house in Kakinada. After our marriage, Srikanth's parents have tried very hard to separate us.
Not knowing a way out, I had to land at Srikanth's house. It is not my intention to take revenge on him. I just want to be reunited with him. He wants to live with me. But he's afraid of his parents and lying low. When he has no shooting, he stays in our house in Chennai. We share the same bedroom and we use precaution so I do not become pregnant."
The police want to interrogate Srikanth too, but he's missing in action. He has also vacated his hotel room. His cell phone is switched off. On questioning his friends, no information is forthcoming.
His lawyer said he will bring Srikanth for questioning, but there is no sign of him either. No one knows where he went and what happened. So police are on the lookout for Srikanth.
