On one hand, there is the pending case about agricultural land that the actor had acquired in Maharashtra by wrongly stating that he was a farmer in Uttar Pradesh. The land will most likely be reacquired by the state government. It is only a matter of time before that happens.
'Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom', the latest film starring Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role and Amitabh in guest appearance, has crashed at the box office. This is Abhishek's first film after his marriage. Just before the film got released, Amitabh had run into trouble with Daler Mehndi.
Now, he stands accused of Foreign Exchange violation.
According to a Public Interest Litigation filed by a journalist in Mumbai, Amitabh had dabbled with foreign exchange without getting prior permission from the concerned authorities.
CBI is now going to enquire.
