It looks as if the Kollywood disease of failing marriages has now spread to Tollywood too. His first wife Konidala Nandinee filed the first of such cases against Pawan Kalyan.
In the year 1997, Pawan had got married to Nandinee. Soon, differences of opinion cropped up and he decided to end his marriage with her. He ended up falling in love with Renu Desai, who had worked with him as his heroine in some of his films. The two got married and now have a son. Lot of time has passed since then.
Probably emboldened by the series of cases being filed in Tamilnadu against celebrities by their spouses, Nandinee has sought the court's help to nullify his marriage to Renu Desai because she claims that she wasn't granted a formal divorce yet. She also has claimed maintenance of Rs 5 Lakhs per month from the actor.
In her affidavit, she also has accused Megastar Chiranjeevi, his wife and family members for encouraging Pawan to enter into a bigamous relationship.
As soon as he heard the news about the complaint, Pawan Kalyan, it seems, had canceled the shooting of his film and had returned home.
The court has ordered that he be present for a hearing on the 31st of July.
The mystery is- why did Nandinee wait for such a long time before filing the complaint? Everybody knew that he had got married to Renu and also had a son through the marriage. What has now suddenly inspired her to file the suit?
