Director Siddiq is adept at showing comedy on screen. His Malayalam films like 'Arjun Rao,' 'Speaking,' 'Hitler' and 'Godfather' were all super hits.
He has directed Tamil films 'Friends' and 'Engal Enna.' After a long gap, he returns to Tamil films to direct 'Sadhu Miranda' featuring Prasanna and Kavya Madhavan in the lead roles.
"Life is like a highway. An accident can happen at any time. Sometimes, we ourselves invite it. When we are going about carefully, others sometimes come and clash with us. In short, the environment becomes the villain for every man. A very gentle man is suddenly pressed with a problem. How he manages something that is beyond what he can take, is the story of the film," says Siddiq.
The core story may be serious, but it seems the film moves along a comedy track. "Prasanna does not fit into any particular image. He is a good actor. That's the reason I chose him as hero," explains Siddiq. Prasanna plays a young graduate looking for a job. Kavya Madhavan is a student who is a TV presenter in her spare time. Both are said to have done well. Abbas. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Kalabhavan Mani, Charlie, Ramesh Khanna, MS Bhaskar and Karunaas are a long list of comedians to keep you entertained.
The film has been shot in Chennai, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangkok, Chalakudy and Kochi.
