When plans of remaking 'Ghajini' in Hindi were announced, for a while it looked as if Ayesha Takia might play the female lead. But she was removed ad we suddenly had Asin starring in the film.
Ayesha Takia now has her revenge.
There also were plans to remake 'Pokkiri' in Hindi. Prabhudeva is the director. Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor is going to produce it. Salman Khan is starring in the lead role. There were talks that Asin might end up being the heroine of this film too. She was also supposed to star in a new film of Rakeysh Omprakash, the director who made 'Rang De Basanti'.
Mystery still prevails about the Rakyesh Omprakash film, but from the very beginning, Salman Khan wasn't that keen on starring with Asin in the Hindi remake of 'Pokkiri'. Everybody thought that he'd bring Katrina Kaif, his real life girlfriend, in for the role. But it looks as if he was happy with anyone as long as it wasn't Asin.
