The Sivaji effect has left the Tamil July film release schedule awry! Added to that there is an "unlucky- Friday, the 13th" coming on July 13, followed by Aadi masam beginning on July 17 to August 17!
It clearly means that in an industry, where people are superstitious and consult astrologers for "lucky" dates, July is considered inauspicious. The only biggies likely to release in July are the Ajit- Trisha Kireedam and Madhavan- Bhavana starrer Arya.
Still films have to release to feed the theatres during the lean season. And there are many films lying in the cans and ready for release. Some of the films that may make it to the theatres during this month, are the following--
July 12-Arya
July 12- Kireedam
July 12- Pallikoodam
July 12- Ultchagam
July 20- Ammuvagiya Njaan
July 20- Oram Po
July 27-Solli Adippen
Let us hope a few of these films see the light of the day in July, which will provide them good theatres and a decent run.
