Finally, luck is turning its attention to Navya Nair. It looks as if all the experimentations that she did with 'Maayakannadi' sure have had a positive effect on her career.
Director Shankar these days is very much involved with film production too. But much to the annoyance of film producers who had worked with him, the kind of films that he produces are literally made on shoestring budgets.
'Kaadhal' was one such film. So was 'Veyil'.
Fresh from the success of 'Shivaji', he is now getting ready to make another film with Vadivelu in the lead. This one has a strange name- 'Arai Yen 305, Kadavul' or something to that effect. Some very big names were being considered to play the heroine role. Shilpa Shetty and Simran were two of them. As soon as 'Big Brother' happened, Shilpa forgot about the project. It seems Vadivelu wasn't keen on starring with Simran who has now become the mother of a baby in real life.
Navya is now the heroine of the film.
Shankar is producing two more films too. The cast list hasn't been finalized yet for these two films.
