Remember Mallika Kapoor, the marble-skinned heroine of Vinayan's 'Adbhutadweep'? The actress has no new films now and is now taking some drastic steps to alter her career.
The film 'Adbhutadweep' was a big hit but that didn't do anything much to the film's heroine Mallika Kapoor in terms of her career. Not many new offers from Malayalam came her way. One of the reasons is that she didn't look even remotely like a Malayali. So, characters that suited her were difficult to find.
That was when she shifted to Tamil.
There was couple of films. One of them was 'Azagaai Irukkirai Bhayamaai Irukku'. Then, there was the Tamil version of 'Adbhutadweep'. The former flopped. The latter was an average hit.
These days Mallika is desperately looking for new offers but nothing is coming her way. She had sent her portfolio to some of the biggest film production banners but they had all rejected her. In a drastic move to revive her career, she has now announced that she is willing to play glamorous roles too!
Will that atleast have an effect on the stagnating career?
