Glamorous actress Mumtaz had earned the wrath of the orthodox Muslim community in India when she was seen in a controversial pose.

Trouble began with the invites of a new film. The film has two heroines, Mumtaz and Sharanya Bhagyaraj (Bhagyaraj-Poornima's daughter). The film's invitation cards feature both the heroines holding alcohol bottles and striking a casual pose. This has irked the sentiments of Muslim fundamentalists.
Terrified by the wide spread condemnation, Mumtaz has clarified that the film doesn't have any scene in which she drinks alcohol.
"There is no scene in the film in which I'm drinking. The photograph was taken only for the invitations. It was a fantasy, according to the story," she clarified.
Mumtaz had been saying this at each and every opportunity. But it looks as if the community isn't convinced yet.
