An interesting clash is going to erupt in Kollywood soon.
Director Joshi's Dileep-starrer 'Lion' was remade in Telugu as 'Evadaithey Naakenthi'. The film had Rajashekar and Samvritha Sunil in the lead roles. Until then, Rajashekar was reeling under a series of box office disasters. He had borrowed heavily and had invested everything that he had in the film.
This was going to be a make-or-break movie for him. Much to his relief, the film worked wonders at the box office.
Inspired by the film's success in Telugu and by some recent political developments in the state of Tamilnadu, actor-turned-politician Sarath Kumar decided to buy the remake rights of 'Lion' and star in the Tamil version. Karthika was to be his heroine.
Much to Sarath Kumar's compete surprise and rude shock, Rajashekar has now decided to dub and release his Telugu film in Tamil! Sarath is not ready to take it lightly because Rajashekar has a reasonably good fan following in Tamil and there are other ingredients like a very hot item number by the gorgeous Mumait Khan.
If the film does well, then Sarath Kumar's Tamil version will suffer badly.
