Sruthi Kamal Hassan will release her music album shortly. She has also expressed interest in acting in films.
Sruti is trained formally in classical music. She has learnt Hindustani classical from Suresh Wadwa in Mumbai and she continued her training under Manohar Kulkarni.
She also studied music in Los Angeles. She is now all set to release her first music album. "There are totally 6 songs in this music album. Four are English songs. I have written these songs myself. There is a Hindi and Tamil song and dad helped to write these."
Sruthi also plans to release a video album. "I am interested in singing duets and running around trees. Through acting, one can get in touch with so many people and one learns to understand people better."
Though Sruthi has received many acting offers, she is waiting for the right ones. What does her father Kamal Hassan say about Sruthi's interest in acting?
"My father never stands in the way of my interest. I don't need to seek his permission for anything. It is enough if I inform him."
That's a lovely father. People should learn from Kamal about freedom.
