One is never sure if director Velu Prabhakaran is making a film about problems or making films because of the problems. That doubt is strengthened now with his new film.

His last film was 'Kaadhal Arangham.' He made the film with semi clad women under the pretext that fully clothed women made men give more attention to women's bodies and also encouraged more sex crimes. He may be right in some ways but he lives unfortunately in Tamilnadu and not in Europe, so the Censor Board did not approve of his film.
Now he is directing 'Manaivikku Nadandha Thirumanam' featuring Babu Ganesh, Akahsya and Nasser. 'Woman is not a holy being. Man has given her that title in order to control her. I want to break that fallacy in my film,' says Velu Prabhakaran.
By portraying women as martyrs or chastity personified, is man's trick to subdue them. Velu Prabhakaran is right but how does he plan to show that in his film? That is the problem.
A married man suddenly comes to know one day that his wife is an already married woman. Her first husband is now already married and living with another woman. After this revelation, what is the state of mind of these 4 people? What kind of struggle do they have to deal with? This is the story of Velu Prabhakaran's 'Manaivikku Nadandha Thirumanam.' Since this story is a total reflection of Prashant's life, Prashant and his fans are rather upset. They feel this film will further depress Prashant in his current state of mind.
'This is a real story,' says Velu Prabhakaran. This shows clearly that he is definitely depicting the story of Prashant's life.
It is one thing to make a film of an individual's problems, and another thing to make a film of individual problems.
