Aishwarya remains untouched by 'The Last legion'

After making claims of a series of films in Hollywood, Aishwarya Rai's first true international project with predominantly western cast happened with the film 'The Last Legion'.



The entire world had seen her gracing the red carpets of the Cannes Film Festival for some years now. So, the entire world was more than curious to watch her performance too. Everybody, it seems, was curious to watch her in action, in the film. She played the role of female warrior!

But most reviewers around the world have panned her performance. "She looks good, she does her stunts very well, but she just is unable to generate chemistry with the lead actor," is the oft-heard comment.

Making films in Hollywood is very different from the kind of stuff that is churned out in India. Most often than not, in Bollywood, heroes and heroines wouldn't even know what the story of their film is until the very end. What they read in the script might not necessarily be what they shoot on the sets. Media of South Africa were particularly harsh in their criticism about Aishwarya's performance.

But, the consolation fact is that the film's mediocre performance at the box office hasn't diminished Hollywood's fascination for Aishwarya. She is now starring in the sequel to the box-office hit film 'Pink Panther'.

Now, 'The Last Legion' is finally going to make its way to India.

You can rest assured that there are going to be lots of cuts in the film, especially if they involve Aish in glamorous and passionate scenes.
