    'Twenty 20' release postponed?
?Twenty 20?, no less than a dream project for AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) and for the whole of Mollywood itself, seems to be running into troubled waters, just as it is all set for release.

The release date, which has been announced and changed many times earlier as the shoot went on getting delayed, has finally been fixed for the 30th of October, as the multi-starrer movie (maybe the ?ultimate in multi-starrers?) is now almost complete. But now, for some other reasons, the release of film stands the chance of getting postponed again.

?Twenty 20? may now run into troubled waters at this stage, courtesy the decision taken by the Kerala Cine Exhibitors Association not to release any film from the 30th of October if the decision to fix the number of release-theatres for a film as 70 is implemented. This, according to the Association, is a violation of the terms that have been agreed upon in the meeting held under the auspices of the Kerala Film Chamber.

The Association secretary has made it clear that the move is not at all against ?Twenty 20? or any film in particular and if the decision to fix the number of release-theatres as 70 is implemented, no film will be released after the 30th of this month.

So, let?s wait and see if ?Twenty 20?, directed by Joshi and featuring all the prominent Malayalam stars in the cast, makes it to the theatres on the announced date or not.

    What do you guys think?
This is a shame that such a decision is being made. AMMA is trying to help the industry, trying to make history, trying to promote Malayalam to the wider community. Why cant we just get along for once, turn a blind eye just this once and lets have a victory.

Sigh, is it too much to ask.
