mr bin i was going thru ur posts & i found out that ur dead against mohanlal. enthey mohanlal paisa vellom tharan undo? hehe...when sumithchan posted mohanlal got 1 crore for u said it's a bluff & sumit replied that u don't know anything about movie field. yep he is right bro. now ur sayin every actor is good bla bla...hehe..athu pinney bin sir parenghitte veno ariyan? from mammukkoya to mohanlal they have their own qualities. by sayin ellarum is good ru trying to be a movie intellectual huh??? hehhe....our debate was abt mohanlal & mammooty right? so kooduthal philosophy venda kutta it's too boring....i never said mammooty can't act...mammooty is an excellent actor...athil ippo aarrkka doubt? but when it comes comparing mammooty with mohanlal definitely i believe that mohanlal has an advantage...there are limitations for mammooty in selecting roles...especially in comedy & action roles.

ok it's not possible to compare bradman with sachin cuz bradman played cricket way back in 30's...but IT IS POSSIBLE to compare with mohanlal & mammooty cuz @least both started their career almost same year. it is not possible to compare satyan or nazeer with mohanal cuz in 60's & 70's there were no multimedia technology available plus during that time movie dialogue delivery was heavily influenced by drama.

There is no point in comparing the two actors and I dont understand why people are going mad after these two actors in Malayalam? Are the mallus too becoming Tamilians who have fans club for each and every actors.

We got many other talented actors also in malayalam other than these two and lets support good films, the theme and spirit of the film and not actors. One film is becoming a hit not because of a single Lal or Mamooty, but because of each and every body behind it.

I agree with bobs doha. Why should we go behind actors? They are getting very good money for their acting. They are just doing their job even though they are more talented than many of us. We are not tamilians...


If any one here go behind any of the actor.....It means he/she doesn't have any other work.

They both are well known & got roughly same talents!! Why u guys camparing them..z... anyway i like them both... but Laletan wrks better for me.. hehe Laletan zindhabah!!

Its time we stop discussing whether lal / utty is greater. Both are doing roles that dont fit them now. Lets discuss what roles would be suitable for them now. For eg:- psychiatrist / doctor/scientist/professor etc for Lal and police officer/detective/fater/elder brother etc for mammutty .

In my view lalettan is the best actor in malayalam however it does,t mean that mammotty is not a good actor ,the way of laletan is acting really amazing ....

well both are talented and great actors but i think Mammootty is great than Mohanlal... in all means....

even though mammootty dont know dance he plays... and athilumudu oru bhangi.. he is handsome than mohanlal.. each and every role suits for Mammootty.. comedien rolum pulliku cheyaam ennu pulli Raajamanikyathil already thelichu kazhiju..

True to the modernistic tradition Mammootty embodies the spirit of true professionalism and like any other professional he accepts roles that his job demands of him-so naturally , he plays character that seem facile or undemanding along with roles that test his talents.

No director would have this difficulty with Mammootty as the actor. Mammootty's portrayals have etched an image of Mammootty, as Kunhalimarakar in my mind, an image reinterpreted by history, an image quite unlike the war hero. Such an interpretation comes easily to Mammootty far more easily than it does to any other Indian actor.

mohanlal is 46 & mammooty 53...maybe young kids like u don't like them...in ur age u tend to like wooden/stone faced emotionless chocolate muscle wallah hindi actors...in my opinion mohanlal and mammooty are the best actors in india for the last 75 years...
