if a person is poor, then they have to work really hard for that money!!!

hmmm i also hate this whole dowry thing in india.. its ok for a rich girl.. it must not b a compulsury rule for evry1 to give dowry.. those who want can give.. thats the way it should b done I THINK!!!!

I dnt agree with this Dowry either!! Its killing poor familes in our country!! some people even sells their properties for this dowry thingy!!!!! Thts a sad thing abt our country!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its one of the nonsense stuffs, and ironically if you do a survey for this, most of the parents wont oppose this(including girls parents). dont know if it can be abolished completely from society.

dowry!!!!!!!!!!!!y is this thing???????is it useful...??i think its useful in one side and useless in otherside....i dont know y our people is encouraging this.....anyway iam against it....guyz dont marry gals without dowry???if that,, then they r buying gals rt????if they need money then they dont hav to marry gals at all...many problems are rising due to this.....its actually rubbish....!!!!!!!!!!!....

I don't think DOWRY is good one.. actually itz like making the galz family poor...but therez no problem if the galz family is rich... guyz who get dowry will be much more richer...

i agree with you Sonu.. if guys marry gals with dowry itz equivelent of buying galz family buying a guy for that gal.. and if the galz don't give money or land they will not marry.. so ridiculous isn't it??? then i think guyz who marry galz with dowry doesn't marry for any relationship between them. where as only for money..so no one like that can lead a peaceful life.. it usually end up with divorce.. another problem... and it goes on and on.. so therez always problems untill we die..
I don't have any points to tell that it is good to have dowry.. so i am completely against it....

Dowary has its own good and bad

Dowary can be considered as a finiancial support for the newly wed to start their family but also people put too much importance to this that it breaks the familes

Hey wat so the difference in rich and poor, both face the same probs. This dowry has bcome so very common in India. A voice shuld definetly arise so that v can stop the crimes. I came across a recent news in which the girl commited sucide bcos of the problems created by her in laws. But thank god our Indian law was gud that both the fellow and his parents where arrested.

u could decide that ur not giong to give dowry for ur marriage that would make change in our society

we have try to change this unwanted systems
