    UK Equivalent Qualification in India

    Britain India
    General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) exam. of U.K. with four subjects be recognized as equivalent to Matriculation exam.
    (EC dt. 6.4.76)
    Certificate of Secondary Education Matriculation exam. conducted in India if passed with grade I in five subjects.
    (EC dt. 4.2.75).
    G.C.E. 'O' level Those who have passed in five subjects at least at the G.C.E. (ordinary level) and two subjects at the (Advanced Level) or 4 'O' Level and 3 at 'A' level be treated as having successfully completed the 12-Year Pre-University/Higher Secondary in India.

    Scottish Certificate of education +2 stage / Pre-Univ. exam. of 10+2 pattern
    (EC/SC dt. 25.2.85).

    B.C.L. L.L.B. degree of Indian University.
    (EC dt. 2.7.68).

    B.A.(Hons). Exam. Corresponding Degree.
    (EC dt. 17.4.83).

    B.A./B.Sc.(Pass) Corresponding degrees.
    (EC dt. 4.2.75).

    B.Sc. (Hons). in Economics Matter left to the decision of the Universities.
    (SC dt. 3.4.69).

    Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Studies(Developing Countries) M.Phil. degree of a Univ. in India provided the candidate holds a Master's degree from an Indian Univ. before joining the course.
