kanava thoran
Kanava (Squid) - 1/2 kg
Onion - 1
Green chillies - 2
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder -1 teaspoon
Fenugreek powder- 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Red dried chillies --2
Mustard seeds- a pinch
Curry leaves- 1/2 sprig
Coconut- 1 cup
oil- 3 tablespoon
Preparation Method
1.Cut Kanava into very small pieces.
2.Slice Onion and green chillies.
3. In a pan pour water and add kanava, onion and green chillies. Add salt to taste and let it cook.
4. In a grinder add coconut, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and fenugreek powder and grind once (don`t make it a paste).
5. Add this mixture to cooked kanava.
6. In another pan pour oil and when it`s hot add mustard, red dried chillies and curry leaves. Add cooked kanava mixture into it and mix it for sometime.
7. Garnish thoran with curry leaves.
