    Chettinadu prawn

    curry Ingredients


    Prawns- half kg
    Ginger paste- 1tbsp
    Garlic paste- Three-fourth tbsp
    Onions- 2
    Green chillies slit- 4
    Garam masala- 1tsp
    Tomato puree- half cup
    Chilli powder- 1tsp
    Coriander powder- 1tbsp
    Turmeric powder- half tsp
    Peppercorns crushed- 5
    Lime juice- 1tbsp
    Oil- Half cup
    Curry leaves- one sprig
    Salt- to taste

    Method

    Clean the prawns and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions, sauté it till onions turn brown. Add ginger, garlic paste, chopped green chillies and cook for a while. Add coriander, turmeric and chilli powder. Sauté for a while. Add tomato puree and keep cooking till the mixture becomes semi- dry. Then add the prawns, crushed peppercorns, garam masala, curry leaves, lemon juice. Cover and cook till the prawns are done. Lastly add chopped coriander leaves and serve
