Easy Kerala Fish Curry
INGREDIENTS
1.Fish pieces- -500gms
2.Grated coconut-200gms
Peeled shallots-6 nos
Redchilli powder-3 tablespoons
Coriander powder-2 tablespoons
Turmeric powder-1 teaspoon
Tamarind ?a small ball
Salt- to taste
3.Curry leaves- a bunch
4.Mustard seeds- 1 teaspoon
5.Chopped shallots- ? spoon
Method
Grind the 2) ingredients all together in a mixie. Add enough water to make a smooth watery mixture. Pour this mixture into a heated cooking vessel. Cover with lid and keep in high flame till it boils. Add the fish pieces and curry leaves . Allow it to cook over a very low flame for 10 minutes. Add more salt if needed. If the curry is very thick,add some boiled water to adjust the consistency.
Heat oil in a frying pan. Splutter the mustard seeds. Add in chopped shallots.Fry till it turns dark brown in colour. Pour this over the fishcurry. Serve hot with steamed rice.
