Yaqoob's Easy To Cook Biriyani :)

    Yaqoob's Easy To Cook Biriyani

This is a biriyani that can be cooked easy, maybe within 20 minutes. No need to wash too many plates !!!

    Ingredients

    Rice ? 3 cups.
Water ? 4.5 cups or 5 cups. (Rice and Water combination ? for 100% rice add 150% water)
    Chicken ? 10 medium pieces.
    Onion ? 3 nos.
Green Chilly ? 6 or 7 (Cut through the center)
Garlic ? 25 (this is not 25 garlic, but 25small pieces of garlic)
    Chilly powder ? 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder (manjal podi) ? 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder (malli podi) ? ? teaspoon
    Pepper powder ? 1 teaspoon.
    Pepper ? 7 or 8.
    Salt ? to taste
Cinnamon stick ? 4 (karuva patta)
    Cardamom ? 4 (elaykka)
    Cloves ? 6 (Grambu)
Tomato Chilly Sauce ? 3 tablespoon.

    Method

Wash the rice and keep it in water.

Chop onions and cook it in oil until it turns into brown color.

Add the chicken pieces. Add green chilly, garlic, chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, Cloves, Cinnamon stick, Cardamom, Pepper, Pepper powder, and Salt.

Add the tomato chilly sauce. Mix well.

Add water. Cook for 15 minutes.

Taste the gravy and see the mix is proper. If required add some more salt.

    Adding rice into the mixture

Remove the rice from the water and add it into the above mixture. Cook until the rice is cooked well. That is, no water will be found when the rice gets cooked.

Thats all, and the biriyani is ready to serve.

    Hint

To check whether the water and rice proportion is correct, 5 to 10 minutes after adding the rice into the mixture, the mixture will boil properly, by forming bubbles in the center. This shows that the water and rice are in correct proportion. If not in correct proportion add little amount of water as required. Careful ? do not add more water than required
