
Ingredients
1. 6 mediumsizd crabs, ? tsp. Turmeric powder, Salt to taste.
2. 3 dsp. Coconut oil.
3. ? tsp. Mustard seeds.
4. A few curry leaves.
5. ? cup long slices button onions.
6. 1 dsp. Crushed dry chillies.
7. 1 dsp. Crushed garlic flakes (with skin).
8. ? dsp. Crushed pepper.
9. 1 dsp. Water in which fish tamarind is soaked.
10. 1 or 2 flakes of fish tamarind as required.
Method
Put crabs in boiling water with turmeric and salt and cook for about 1 hour.
Transfer the crabs into cold water when it turns orange in colour. This helps the flesh to harden.
Remove shell and take the crab meat. There will be about 250gms. Of crab meat.
Heat oil and saute ingredients from 3 to 8 one by one. Add tamarind water and the soaked fish tamarind.
Lastly stir in the crab meat, saute until fried and crisp. Remove from fire and serve hot.
