    Banana Kofta

    Ingredients


    For the kofta
    Raw banana - 450 gm
    Onion (finely chopped) - One-fourth cup.
    Ginger (chopped) - 1 top
    Coriander leaves (chopped) - 4 teaspoons.
    Green chilli (finely chopped) - 4.
    Pepper powder - Half teaspoon
    Salt to taste
    Juice of half a lemon
    Red chilli powder to taste
    Oil
    For the gravy
    Oil - 3 teaspoon
    Cloves - 4
    Cardamoms - 2
    Onions (chopped) - One-fourth
    Ginger-Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
    Coriander powder - Half teaspoon
    Tomato puree-2 to 3 cups
    Red chilli powder - Half teaspoon
    Mango and Sugar powder - Half teaspoon
    Water - 1 cup
    Some cream
    Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 teaspoon

    Method

    For the kofta, steam the bananas till they are cooked. Cool it, then peel and mash properly. Now add other kofta ingredients and make dough to make balls out of it.

    Warm it on tava or deep-fry it. Keep aside.

    To make the gravy, heat oil in a pan, sauté cloves and cardamoms. Now add ginger-garlic paste and fry. Add onion and sauté, then other spices, tomato puree and water along with fresh cream.

    Mix well and add coriander leaves. Let it boil for 10-15 minutes.

    Now arrange kofta in a pan add the boiling gravy and close the lid and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. Make sure that the koftas do not break. Garnish with corriander leaves.
