    Shrimps Pickle

    SHRIMPS PICKLE

    Ingredients:


    Small shrimps (peeled) 2lbs
    Chilli powder 1 1/2 tbs.
    Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp.
    Powdered black pepper 1/4 tsp.
    Lemon juice 1 tsp.
    Salt to taste

    Method:

    Marinate these for 10 to 15 minutes. Soft fry the marinated shrimp in the 4 tbs. of oil for 5 minutes under medium heat. Set aside.

    Use the same oil from above. Heat sufficiently and add:




    a pinch of mustard seed which should break in the oil.
    one large onion (sliced longitudely)
    two whole pods of garlic (chopped)
    two table spoon full of ginger (chopped)
    three whole green chillies (slit)
    four stems of curry leaves (broken)
    Be sure to add the ginger last. Saut? lightly and mix in:

    A pinch of fenugreek (uluva) powder
    1 tbs. of chilli powder
    1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp. of black pepper powder.


    Now add the soft fried shrimp, 3 tbsps full of vinegar and salt to taste.

    Mix thoroughly.


    Your shrimp pickle/curry is now ready
