PLAIN PARATHAS ( North Indian Style)
For the dough:
1 teacup whole wheat flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oil
For cooking:
2 teaspoons Oil or Ghee
Method :
Mix all the ingredients and enough water to make a soft dough.
Divide the dough into 12 portions and roll out each portion into very thin 150 mm. diameter rounds.
Cook on a griddle very lightly for a few seconds.
cook on a griddle on both sides and brush lightly with butter or oil.
Alternatively, Brush the parathas lightly with butter and bake in a hot oven at 200 degree C for about 5 minutes
Serve hot
