Ingredients
Achinga(Long runner beans/Payar) ? 250 gm
Coconut ? ? of one
(grated)
Onion ? ? cup
Or
Small onions(Kunjulli) ? ? cup
Green chillies ? 3 nos
Turmeric powder ? ? tsp
Curry leaves ? A few
Salt ? As reqd
Coconut oil ? 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds ? 1 tsp
Dry red chillies ? 2 nos
Preparation Method
1)Chop finely the beans, onions and green chillies.
2)Grind together coconut, turmeric powder, green chillies and curry leaves into a coarse form.
:- Do not add water while grinding.
3)Mix together the chopped items along with the coconut mixture and salt.
4)Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
5)Splutter mustard seeds and saut? dry red chillies and curry leaves.
6)Add the beans mixture and mix well.
7)Sprinkle a little water on top and cover it with a lid.
8)Cook on a low flame for about 3 ? 4 mins.
9)Remove the lid and continue cooking till done on a low flame itself.
