Fireman injured in brick attack

A fireman has been injured after a brick was thrown at the engine he was driving in Downpatrick.The crew had been sent to a fire on the Killough Road in the Flying Horse estate at about 2230 BST on Saturday.

Before they got to the blaze someone ran out and threw a brick at the window.

Glass showered the face of the driver. and he suffered cuts and glass in his eyes. He was discharged from hospital during the night.
