
A limited number of flights to and from Scotland are to resume following fears over a plume of volcanic ash drifting across the UK from Iceland.One service to Toronto is set to go ahead from Glasgow Airport and other services may also be allowed between some Scottish cities and Belfast.
However, most planes remain grounded in Scotland and the rest of the UK.
Some of the ash, collected in Lerwick Shetland, is being examined by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
