From IK in Scotland via text: "Hey Mark, 16-year-old student trying to revise for five exams and keeping up with the F1. Wish me luck."
BBC Sport's Sarah Holt in Shanghai: "The sun is blooming over the Shanghai International Circuit and in a few hours' time we'll find out who will shine over one lap during qualifying. The McLarens took turns to top practice on Friday but Jenson Button pointed out that rivals Red Bull have yet to show their hand while both Ferraris also concentrated on longer runs, to mask their potential. An early morning sweep of opinion in the China paddock saw a few nods in favour of Lewis Hamilton for pole. The 25-year-old's spin into the gravel here cost him the 2007 world title but he made amends in 2008, winning in Shanghai on his way to becoming 2008 champion. Hamilton likes to put the hammer down round here so it's all eyes on third practice for more clues."
