
A teacher accused of raping a woman in his home after a night out has been cleared of all charges after the prosecution dropped the case.Huw Elystan Davies, 38, of Bridgend, had denied rape and supplying cocaine at Cardiff Crown Court.
The Welsh teacher at Brynteg Comprehensive, Bridgend, said sex with a 19-year-old woman was consensual.
The jury heard the woman did not make a rape accusation until returning home and seeing her parents and boyfriend.
The development came on the day the defence evidence was due to start in the trial, which began last week.
Mr Davies had pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing cocaine.
