    Kebede powers to London victory


    Ethiopia's Tsegaye Kebede claimed the London Marathon over a minute clear of Kenya's Emmanuel Mutai as world champion Abel Kirui fell away to fifth.Kebede, who finished second on his London debut last year, proved stronger than Kirui as the pair pulled clear.

    Defending champion Sammy Wanjiru, who is returning suffered a back injury, faded just after halfway mark.

    Morroco's Joaurd Gharib came third as Britain's Andrew Lemoncello finished eighth on his marathon debut.
