
A midwife at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital has been suspended after concerns about her clinical practice were raised by colleagues.The care of 22 mothers and babies over a period of about two-and-a-half years is being examined.
Grampian Police have been called to carry out an investigation.
An NHS Grampian spokesperson said: "Senior clinical staff are meeting families who may have been affected to explain the reasons for the review."
The midwife has also been referred to the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
