Courting the youth vote? Six-year-old boy sent poll card

A six-year-old boy from Devon who received a general election polling card has said he would like to vote for his cousin.Ciaran Perry, from Tiverton, received the card in the post at the same time as his parents.

Ciaran said he would vote for extra playtime at school and more tipper lorries on the roads.

Mid Devon District Council said he was issued the card because a form was filled out incorrectly.

His mother, Nicola Mellett, who denied any form was completed improperly, said her son did not know much about politics.

"He thought it was funny when a student threw an egg at David Cameron the other night, but he didn't really know who he was," she said.

When asked who he would vote for, he said he would vote for his cousin, Jess.

And what asked what he would like to change most of all, he replied he wanted to change into a lorry driver. This article is from the BBC News website. ? British Broadcasting Corporation, The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites.
