    CS spray used during town trouble


    Police have used CS spray gas during disturbances in Ballycastle, County Antrim, involving up to 12 people.Officers patrolling the Diamond area of the town came across a number of fights at about 0220 BST on Sunday.

    They used CS spray after some of those involved in the fights became aggressive towards them.

    A police officer sustained a minor head injury in the incident. A 26-year-old man has been arrested.

    Two weeks ago, police officers used CS spray gas to control trouble in the early hours of Sunday 18 April after reports of trouble involving up to 12 people in the Diamond area of Ballycastle.
