A man has been found guilty of trying to kill a 25-year-old by dousing him with acid in revenge for an alleged online affair with a married woman.Awais Akram suffered 47% burns and was left disfigured by the attack in Leytonstone, east London, last July.
He met Sadia Khatoon, of Walthamstow, on Facebook and MSN, the jury heard.
Her brother Mohammed Vakas, 26, of Walthamstow, east London, was found guilty of conspiracy to murder by an Old Bailey jury.
His cousin Mohammed Adeel, 20, also of Walthamstow, and a boy aged 17 were both cleared of conspiracy to murder but convicted of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.
When Ms Khatoon's husband Shakeel Abassi found out about the online conversations, he got his 24-year-old wife to lure the victim out of his flat, where concentrated sulphuric acid was poured over his head.
The court heard during the attack the men received instructions from Mr Abassi, 32, who was in a hotel room near Heathrow with his wife.
Ms Khatoon and her husband later disappeared in Pakistan and detectives said they now feared for her safety.
Mr Akram cried as he gave evidence at the trial, saying he was in so much pain at the time that he wanted to die.
"My whole body started to burn," he said.
One witness said he looked like a "cross between a zombie from a horror movie and the Incredible Hulk".
Police hailed the victim's bravery in coming forward to give evidence against his attackers despite being deeply traumatised by what happened.
One officer described him as an "incredible young man".This article is from the BBC News website. ? British Broadcasting Corporation, The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites.
