Police investigating the disappearance of Edinburgh office worker Suzanne Pilley have appealed for information about a silver car.Officers want to hear from anyone who saw the "family car" on remote roads across Argyll and Bute on the afternoon and evening of Wednesday 5 May.
The 38-year-old, from Stenhouse, was last seen outside her Thistle Street office at 0855 BST the previous day.
Fresh CCTV footage has prompted police to believe she was murdered.
The Lothian and Borders force said it wanted information regarding the movements of the car around unclassified roads, which could include single or forestry tracks, in the central area of the Argyll Forest, including the Rest and Be Thankful.
'Lone driver'
It asked specifically for anyone who may have seen the vehicle sometime between 1300 and 1530 BST, and in the evening between 1900 and 2100 BST, on 5 May.
Det Ch Insp Gary Flannigan, who is leading the investigation, said: "Did you see a lone driver in a silver-coloured car, or near to one, who may have been stopped for some time in such a place?
"Please think back, it's the day before the general election - can you recall seeing a similar vehicle?
"If there's any possibility it is critical you contact Lothian and Borders Police as a matter of urgency."
Police said on Monday the discovery that Ms Pilley, a bookkeeper, had made it to work led them to change their inquiry from a missing person search to a murder investigation.
Her parents, Robert and Sylvia Pilley, said they suspected something "sinister" had happened to her. This article is from the BBC News website. ? British Broadcasting Corporation, The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites.
