Tests on a woman whose body was found in flats in Milton Keynes show she had been strangled.A 31-year-old woman, who has not been identified, was discovered at an address in Tolcarne Avenue, Fishermead, on Saturday night.
Police said a post-mortem examination had identified the cause of death as "strangulation by ligature".
A 51-year-old man was arrested in Leicester on Sunday on suspicion of murder.
