A man has died after falling down a quarry at Legaston Farm near Arbroath.
The 34-year-old was part of a group of people who were rock climbing in the area.
The dead man, whose identity has not yet been released, is understood to be from the Dundee area.
He was said to have fallen about 40ft shortly in the incident, which happened at about 1445 BST. Police said they were investigating the circumstances, and a report will go to the procurator fiscal.
The Health and Safety Executive has also been informed.
