    David Laws resignation: Your reaction

Liberal Democrat David Laws has resigned as Chief Secretary to the Treasury, after admitting he claimed expenses to pay rent to his partner. What's your reaction?

Mr Laws said he felt he could not continue with his work on the Budget in light of the revelations. Earlier he apologised for his actions and pledged to repay the money - estimated by the Daily Telegraph to be Â?40,000. He said his intention was to keep his relationship with partner James Lundie private.

He will be replaced by the Scottish Secretary Danny Alexander, who is also a Liberal Democrat.

Do you think David Laws did the right thing? What does this mean for the coalition government? Should further changes be made to the system of claiming expenses?
