    An arrest has been made over an assault in Aberdeen which left a man with life-threatening injuries.

    Police said the incident happened at about 0100 BST on Friday in the city's Bath Street. Both that street and Windmill Brae were cordoned off.

    A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

    The Grampian force said a 21-year-old man from Aberdeen has been charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear in court on Monday.
