Pupils walk out over lunch change

</span>Hundreds of children have staged a protest by walking out of lessons at a secondary school in Dover.

Kent Police have confirmed officers have been sent to Dover Christ Church Academy in response.

Between 200 and 300 children are understood to be taking part in the protest over changes to the timetable.

The school, which opened as an academy less than a month ago, has not yet commented on the protest and police have not released any further details.

Dover Christ Church Academy is currently waiting to hear whether the school can be rebuilt.

A decision on whether the rebuilding of six Kent academies, including Dover Christ Church, can go ahead has been delayed until the results of the government's spending review.
