</span>Two nursery nurses have been sentenced to 16-weeks in jail suspended for 12 months for cruelty to a two-year-old boy at a Hertfordshire nursery.
Lisa Wymer, 22, and Rebecca Robins, 21, were seen on CCTV dragging the boy across the floor.
The women denied mistreating the boy at the nursery in Welwyn Garden City but were found guilty after a trial at St Albans Crown Court.
The women have already been dismissed from the nursery.
They have also been given a six month supervision order with probation and will both need to complete 100 hours of unpaid work within a 12-month period.
Wymer of Arundel Drive, Borehamwood, and Robins of High Street, Codicote, carried out the offence on 17 December.
The CCTV footage played during the trial showed the youngster being pulled across the floor by Wymer after he pretended to be asleep.
Children were then encouraged to push and prod the little boy.
His shoes and socks were removed and his trousers were pulled down.
Sentencing them, Judge Martin Griffith said: "You two sparked each other off and launched upon a course of teasing and ended up with the humiliation of the boy which you found funny."
A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire County Council children's social services said the local authority assessed the incident with the police and the owner's of the nursery and ensured it was investigated.
Hertfordshire Police are expected to comment later.
